Light, portable, and easy to store besides a good workout Jan 07, 2010 Pros:
1. Provides a good workout. I work up a sweat in just a few minutes in a 60 degree house. Can exhaust muscles quickly if you use max effort.
2. Small enough to store almost anywhere.
3. Light enough to carry on the road. Haven't tried getting it through airport security but it seems to be plastic so should X-ray well.
4. Adaptable in strength level to fit myself and the wife.
5. The unit fit and finish seems very good despite the extensive use of plastics.
Cons:
1. Not sure yet about its ruggedness. Not sure how much is plastic or how strong it is. So far, so good.

Not a useful gizmo Jan 18, 2009 It's basically a pneumatic tube...like a bicycle tire pump. You're supposed to hold it horizontally and either push the pump in, or pull it out...either in front of your chest, or behind your back. In other words, (a) you can do only a couple of exercises with it, (b) you don't get much range of motion so it's not a good workout even for the exercises you can do, (c) it feels like and is as much fun to use as a tire pump.
It has some simple electronics that counts your reps and how hard you're pressing. That doesn't make it worth buying. This is not a useful addition to your exercise toolset.

Outstanding workout Nov 18, 2008 Great product,at a great price, and a awesome workout. The Fortex,is no toy,it is a Push-Pull device, and it will challenge every fitness level.Try doing two sets of the eight exercises, and you will feel it the next day,I promise you.Its portable, light, and it will adapt to your strength,so Anatomical Adaptibilty, will not set in.

Surprising intensity.. Oct 22, 2008 I have to admit I was surprised by the intensity of the exercise. I've only used it once and my arms feel like spaghetti. So, you are asking why am I writing a review after only one use. I'm a long term exercise fan (I'm a reformed fat guy and I'm almost as annoying as a reformed smoker). I've used a Bullworker which I like (and leave at work for use during the work day) and I've also used powertwister (bending bars..warning you can get hit with the rebound if you are not careful) chest exercisers (I have both the medium and heavy resistance bars) and I have a small gym in my house. So, trust me if you don't have a small gym you will get the intensity you want for your upper body from this device. It won't replace free weights, but it's portable and a lot less potentially dangerous than free weights. It is worth the low Amazon price.

Best piece of equipment I have ever purchased! Jul 14, 2008 This is the best piece of equipment I have ever purchased! It is definately the new age way to exercise. Those heavy weights will become a thing of the past. I have a complete home gym with weights, stair stepper, bike, treadmill etc.. My arms were starting to look bad because I was traveling alot and could not find the time to workout so I bought this to take on the road and was I surprised at how quickly my muscles started to pop! Get rid of all of those bulky weights that could also do some harm and injury. You can use this anywhere...even in bed! I have purchased many items that I have returned which did not work. Actually, I liked this so much that I was getting ready to purchase another for my daughter and could not believe that there was only one review so I thought I should give it another. It only takes a few minutes a few times a week using this piece of equipment for your arme to look great!
